We've posted about the First HTC HD2 3D Driver Patch from XDA Developers and now we have a new Beta being released for testing purposes to advanced users.
The "patch focusses mainly on a modified OpenGL ES CM, but a CL wrapper is also included (adaptation of NuShrike's CL wrapper) and so is the TG-01 D3D driver. The latter is faster than the D3D driver that comes with the Leo, but it's still not very fast". In plain English, some of the applications that use graphics, such as games, might run a bit slow or stutter on devices like the HTC HD2 and the patch tries to solve this issue.
Version 2.5 being a Beta, as it is stated in it's thread, you might experience some issues but it's still a (big) step forward for the developers and the community. Besides HTC HD2 users, people with LG Expo, Toshiba TG-01 and Acer S200/F1 devices might also benefit from this.
