Weather Bug Elite for android

The WeatherBug Elite Android App by WeatherBug provides access to the largest network of professional weather stations  right to your Android phone. When the app first loads it will either find your location for you or you can enter it in manually.  Once your location is loaded you will see a very well designed user interface. The graphics for this app are of high quality and they present the weather data well.

From the main screen you get the current temperature, high and low for the day, and much more. You even get a forecast for the day at the bottom of the screen. New HTC Messaging Client Versions for windows mobile

XDA member pyrorob decided to provide to all of us the latest versions of HTC messaging client for Windows Mobile devices translated into English. This is based on oriental developer and chef huashan’s work.
Tha cab files were initially meant for WVGA resolutions, but members have reported that it is also working on other resolutions.
Be sure to read and understand all the instructions before installing to avoid any problems.

Ok, so, I was providing this in the HD2 apps forum and it kept being suggested to me to start my own thread, so, im thinking.. why do that just there? Its for wvga devices and people use it on multiple ones, so why not post it somewhere that everyone can see it?

So, what I’m going to be doing, is providing the newest versions here in cab and ext if requested.
Also, I’ll try to provide some extra cabs here every once in awhile (like network settings,graphics tweaks,etc.).
Now, some advice:

now for the people that are having problems installing/upgrading, the most common reason is due to the fact that if you had the client installed before, it installs a service, which is an actively running dll that runs in the background (like an openly running exe, BUT IT IS NOT AN EXE!) you have to shutdown the dll to overwrite it or you will face issues.
Now in energy roms, you can go to start/tools/ and open task manager, after it loads, touch in the top right where the little arrow is and go to “services” NOT PROCESSES, find “messaging service” and touch and hold on it and set it for manual and soft reset.
If the client was installed by you, then go to remove programs and uninstall it, soft reset,then install the client you want.
if it was pre-installed, just install.

Tower Bloxx is one of those terrific, pioneering games that proved the mobile was a viable and sustainable gaming platform. It’s kept going, too - evolving with the hardware, going 3D, themed versions and pushing out onto other games systems.

But there comes a point with this kind of pioneering title where it’s hard to accept yet another conversion. Of course, it’s equally understandable why Digital Chocolate puts out as many ports as possible (not everyone’s already played it), but in the interests of keeping the established Tower Bloxx fans onboard, every new iteration should offer up something unique.

Regrettably, the Android version of Tower Bloxx goes right back to the game’s origins, in a 2D stack-‘em-up with no real surprises.

It’s still very much early days for Android gaming, and we’ve yet to see how it copes with the complexities of 3D, multiplayer or any of the other quirks we’ve come to expect from a smartphone, but there’s little here to suggest the possibilities in store.

A crane lowers in the bottom block of your new skyscraper, and drops it when you touch the screen. The next floor is then craned in, and it’s up to you to release it as it swings past the previous part of the building, releasing it as accurately as possible to align the two blocks. The building continues to 10, 20, 30 and more floors depending on what type you’re putting together.

Now, one of the best aspects of Tower Bloxx is its ultra simple controls, and having one big touchscreen controlled button makes it easier than ever to drop the blocks.

The higher it gets, the more the structure sways around, and it does get precariously vertiginous as the skyscrapers begin to touch the clouds. This is raw Tower Bloxx stuff, which in itself is definitely no bad thing, but even on the mobile we’ve seen more adventurous styling than is on display here.

The G1’s screen is larger than almost any mobile’s, yet the tiny blocks look like peas on a drum as they swing about the place. At least half of the screen goes unused due to the diminutive graphics, while the cityscape background is cluttered enough to camouflage the blocks on the lower levels - certainly the blue ones.

Essentially there’s nothing wrong with the gameplay - it’s Tower Bloxxthrough and through. But neither is there anything at all to mark the popular franchise’s debut on the Android, making this quickly forgettable for anyone who’s owned a previous version.

If you’re completely new to Tower Bloxx, add two points to the score. If you’re an aficionado, prepare for disappointment.

How to Save Battery While Running Android on HD2

With the arrival of Android builds for the HTC Leo, we have seen that battery consumption is a problem not solved yet. XDA member Shatterv2 wrote a complete “how to” guide with tips to save battery.
Using SetCPU, which is an application for over/under clocking devices, and following the steps provided by the developer, your battery should last longer when running Android.
One good thing is that members are also posting their personal configurations as alternatives to test and decide which one works better for the Leo.

You can also adjust your vibration, sound and controls. The “credits” pays homage to the makers of the game and “help” shows you the icons you need to be aware of when you are in the game. Once you choose you jet fighter you will go right into the game. The Jet fighter automatically shoots for you and the only thing that you do is move the plane towards the enemies.

Opinion:  If you’re familiar with  Raiden then you will be right at home with this title. I was very skeptical when I first loaded it but what I realized very quickly was that this mobile shooter kept the very essence of what is considered retro today. It has an awesome 8 bit soundtrack to go along with the smooth touchscreen game play which can be calibrated. A fair warning though, this game is very addictive and I would not suggest that you load it up during a meeting.
